§ Mr. John SmithSection 19 of the Companies Act 1967 provides that the directors' report must include certain particulars of contributions for political purposes, which are defined as donations or subscriptions to a political party or to activities which could reasonably be regarded as likely to affect public support for a political party. Directors of companies which have made donations to this organisation will need to consider whether disclosure is necessary to comply with the statutory requirements.
