§ Sir Raymond Gowerasked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the present rateable value of the Assembly building in Cardiff.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon, pursuant to the reply [Official Report, 19 March 1979; Vol. 964, c. 459], gave the following information:
I have been asked to reply.
For premises in the occupation of the Crown local authorities receive a contribution in lieu of rates based on a value determined by the Treasury valuer.
The main works of conversion have not been completed and the premises are unoccupied. Consequently no value for contributions in lieu of rates has been determined.
