Mr. Maurice Macmillan

asked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) what was the average length of stay in British ports by ships of each Warsaw Pact country; and if he will list the total number of calls by ships from the Warsaw Pact countries which lasted for (a) zero to five days, (b) six to ten days, (c) 11 to 15 days, and (d) over 15 days;

(2) how many British ports were called at in 1978 by ships from Warsaw Pact countries; and if he will list the total number of calls by such ships at each port;

(3) if he will list in the Official Report the total number of ships from Warsaw Pact countries calling at British ports, and the total number of port calls made by such ships for the years 1974 to 1978, distinguishing between Soviet and other Warsaw Pact countries' ships.
