Mr. Farr

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give details of the returns from police forces upon which he based the increases made in the Firearms (Variation of Fees) Order 1979.

The new scale of fees is based on the 1977 costings, reassessed to take account of increased police pay and other increases in costs.
