§ Miss Margaret JacksonMuch community service is organised under the leadership of bodies and organisations within the framework of the education service, including the schools, the voluntary and statutory youth service, and institutions of further and higher education. I am glad to encourage all such endeavours and to acknowledge parallel efforts under such other auspices.
Members of Her Majesty's inspectorate take an interest in the education aspects of community service as part of their normal duties. They also frequently give advice, when asked, to organisations involved in the provision of community service schemes.
