asked the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to announce the alternate alignments for the extension of the M20-A20 from Folkestone to Dover.

Mr. Peter Rees

asked the Secretary of State for Transport when he proposes to publish the possible routes for the A20-M20 extension from Folkestone to Dover; and what plans he has for public consultation on these routes.

The examination of possible routes has been most difficult but we hope to consult the public on alternatives this summer.
