HC Deb 12 March 1979 vol 964 c73W
Mr. David Mitchell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will bring forward proposals to alleviate the tax consequences for traders whose financial year ended during or shortly after the recent lorry drivers' strike, as a consequence of which some year-end stock has been artificially low, leading to clawback of stock relief; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Denzil Davies

I refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Oswestry (Mr. Biffen) on 5 February 1979.—[Vol. 962, c.54–55.]
