HC Deb 09 March 1979 vol 963 cc820-1W
Mr. Loyden

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what development grants have been received by Dunlop Co. UK.

Mr. Les Huckfield

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 5 March 1979; Vol. 963, c. 461]. gave the following information:

In general particulars of payments of regional development grant are treated as confidential between the Department and the grantees, although since 1 October 1974 payments in excess of £25,000 have been published in Trade and Industry. As this information is not intended to show the total amount paid to the individual grantee, I have consulted Dunlop Limited, which has readily given its agreement to disclosure of the total of the grants made to the company, which has a number of premises in the assisted areas. The total grant paid since the beginning of the scheme, March 1972, is £3,128,090.
