§ Mr. Nobleasked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) if he will confirm that spoke reflectors on bicycles are acceptable to his Department from a road safety point of view;
(2) when he intends to bring in amending regulations to permit the use of spoke reflectors on bicycles.
§ Mr. HoramI accept that it would be reasonable to permit the use of such reflectors. A letter is now being sent to interested bodies seeking their comments on draft regulations to this effect. It is hoped to enact the regulations within the next two months, but this depends on the results of consultations.
