§ Mr. Cockcroftasked the Secretary of State for Industry (1) when he expects the Post Office's consumer code of practice to be issued; 782W to make appointments and which are grant-aided by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
(2) if he will inquire into the reasons for the delay by the Post Office in issuing its codes of practice.
§ Mr. Les HuckfieldOfficials of my Department have been following the course of the discussions which the Post Office has been having with the Office of Fair Trading and the Post Office Users National Council. I understand that codes are in the final stages of agreement and will be published as soon as possible.
