§ Mr. Walter Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action is being taken by Her Majesty's Government to protect British nationals in Iran who are unable to leave because their passports have been confiscated.
§ Mr. JuddWe are aware of a number of such cases involving British nationals. Despite the difficult circumstances currently prevailing in Iran consular officers will continue to do what they can to assist in finding a solution.
§ Mr. Walter Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make urgent representations to the Iranian Government to have the passport of Mr. K. Thompson returned to him so that he is able to return to the United Kingdom.
