§ Mr. Fairbairnasked the Lord Advocate how many persons he has petitioned to be kept in custody awaiting trial in excess of 110 days after committal.
The Lord AdvocatePetitions for extension of the 110 days in relation to 39 accused were heard by the High Court on 21 February 1979 and were granted.
