§ Mr. John GrantSince June 1977 Ministers and officials of my Department have been engaged in Community discussions about the shorter working week and there will be further meetings over the next few months. These discussions will be useful in assessing the value of such a development, as a means of reducing unemployment, if adopted by all the member States together.
