HC Deb 05 March 1979 vol 963 cc407-8W
Mr. Maurice Macmillan

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science at which public reference libraries in the United Kingdom copies will be available of European patent applications; and if she is satisfied that these arrangements will provide an adequate source of information for leading industrial companies.

Mr. Oakes

The arrangements for distributing these documents are being discussed. The British Library will soon be consulting those concerned in this country about needs and facilities outside London for reference to patent documents

1968. These amounts were originally fixed in 1960, but the regulations, as amended, provide that the prescribed maxima shall not apply if, for a variety of specified reasons, they would not provide fair remuneration for work actually and reasonably done. In view of this, we have no present proposals for amending the schedule.
