HC Deb 05 March 1979 vol 963 c405W
Mr. Allen McKay

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will investigate and publish a report as to what is being done to eliminate the amount of interference being experienced on the 27 mhz radio band causing the crashing of flying model aeroplanes.

Dr. Summerskill

Several model flying clubs have complained of interference to their licensed use of frequencies in the 27 MHz band, and have attributed this to the increasing and illicit use of so called "citizens band" transmitters. Complaints of interference are investigated by the radio interference service of the Post Office. A number of prosecutions against illicit users are pending.
