HC Deb 05 March 1979 vol 963 c515W
Mr. Corbett

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what annual amount is being paid by the Hertfordshire area health authority for office accommodation at Hamilton House. Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead; how much space out of the total in the building the area health authority occupies; how long is the lease; and what plans there are for relocating the area health authority.

Mr. Moyle

The Hertfordshire area health authority currently pays £73,700—£65,000 for rent, £8,000 service charges and £700 insurance—for the 20,400 sq. ft. which it occupies on four floors of the seven floor Hamilton House. The current lease is for five years expiring on 28 August 1979. Negotiations are under way to renew the lease and there are no plans to relocate the area health authority.
