asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give further consideration to giving a clothing allowance for income tax purposes to those who are so disabled that they have to spend much more on clothes than the average person, especially the single or double leg amputees.

I have much sympathy with those who are disabled, but I consider that help for their special difficulties is better provided through the social security system than the tax system.
