§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what proportion of the total number of family income supplement recipients will be subject to income tax in 1979–80.
§ Mr. Peter Rees, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 18 June 1979], gave the following answer:
The proportion is not known exactly but is thought to be rather more than three-quarters.
