§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the fact that the recent changes in VAT and the increase in minimum lending rate have caused grave difficulties for Motability, he will bring forward proposals to ensure that Motability will continue to be viable and be of assistance to disabled drivers; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Peter Rees, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 25 June 1979], gave the following answer:
The Government will make an announcement on this matter at a very early date.
