Mr. Tilley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will continue to attend meetings of the race relations employment advisory group.

Mr. Mayhew

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 20 June 1979], gave the following answer:

Meetings of the advisory group have always been chaired by a junior Minister and it has not been the practice for the Secretary of State to attend.
