HC Deb 22 June 1979 vol 968 c713W
Dr. Hampson

asked the Secretary of State for Employment which areas will be affected by the £9.8 million cut in Manpower Services Commission expenditure in relation to industrial training.

Mr. Jim Lester

I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that, of the saving of £9.8 million to be made in MSC expenditure on industrial training in the current financial year, it is expected that just under £9 million will come from reduced MSC support for the ITB Sector. The remainder will be found by reducing MSC expenditure in the non-board sector and on multi-industry items.

ITBs have been notified of the revised cash limits which now apply and are currently considering the necessary changes in their programmes.
