§ Mr. Frank R. Whiteasked the Minister of Transport if he will list the number of registered private cars in each of the vehicle licensing areas of the Greater Manchester county.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeLocal vehicle licensing offices do not deal with licensing of vehicles in specified areas as old local taxation offices did. There are therefore no "vehicle licensing areas". The number of private cars and private vans in Greater Manchester which were licensed on 31 December 1978 was 556,000.
