HC Deb 21 June 1979 vol 968 c700W
Mr. Foster

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if the pilot schemes for work introduction courses in areas of high unemployment will now proceed.

Mr. Jim Lester,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 20 June 1979], gave the following answer:

I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that work introduction courses have been set up under the youth opportunities programme in most parts of the country, including areas of high unemployment, and that courses will continue where the needs of unemployed young people require them.
