§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeOur records do not in general distinguish between former examiners and other applicants to become driving instructors. But of the 94 examiners who retired or resigned in the year ended 31 May 1979, six applied to qualify as instructors before leaving; four succeeded and two have not completed their examinations.
