§ Mr. Neil MartenThe previous Government undertook to support the sale of four British-built cargo vessels to Vietnam with a grant from the aid trade contingency provision of up to £4.5 million of which about £2.3 million remains to be spent. English language training is also being provided in Britain for 55 Vietnamese teachers: 27 will be returning to Vietnam early next month and the rest finish their training in June 1980.
Her Majesty's Government will also have to pay their share—about £2.8 million—towards the cost of food aid for Vietnam under the European Community's 1979 programme agreed by the previous Government.
