§ Mr. Brocklebank-Fowlerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he proposes to enable local authorities outside the development areas to borrow funds to enable them to buy land and provide infrastructure services to attract industrial firms now that the Community Land Act permission is no longer available to them and funds for locally determined schemes have been reduced, in the light of the importance of this to 473W the fight against unemployment in the rural areas.
§ Mr. KingIt will be for local authorities to consider the resources which they wish to spend on this activity in the light of the requirements of their other locally determined sector services.
