asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has received a new petition from the Reverend J. P. Haldane-Stevenson in respect of his claim to the peerage of Eure; and if he will make a statement.

§ Mr. Whitelaw
In March this year Mr. Haldane-Stevenson submitted a further petition relating to his claim to the Barony of Eure. He was informed on 15 May that this petition had been carefully considered but did not make good the defects in his earlier petition to which his attention had been drawn in March 1978.
