asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many people have been killed in Northern Ireland by the Armed Forces, namely, the Army, since and including 1970; and of these, how many were adult male, adult female and children, respectively.

Since the beginning of 1970, a total of 186 people, of whom 150 were adult males, 6 adult females and 30 juveniles (under 18), have been killed in Northern Ireland during the course of anti-terrorist operations by the Army.
