HC Deb 18 June 1979 vol 968 c438W
Mr. John Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what proportion of the £210 million cut in the industrial support proposed for the current year is to be borne in Wales; and what are the equivalent figures for his responsibilities under the Industry Act 1972.

Mr. Michael Roberts

It is not possible to make a precise apportionment. The most significant impact on Wales will follow the decision to delay payments of regional development grants.

No decision has been taken on Industry Act support for which my right hon. Friend has specific responsibilities as regards Wales.
