asked the Lord Privy Seal if Her Majesty's Government intend to appoint an ambassador to Chile; whether he intends to send a military attach6 to Santiago; and whether he intends to arrange for visits to the United Kingdom by members of the Chilean Government.

The Government are giving careful consideration to all aspects of United Kingdom-Chile relations but no final decisions have yet been taken on these matters.
