§ Mr. WigginThe Forestry Commission estimates that its new planting over the next 5 years is likely to average 10,000 ha and restocking some 5,000 ha per annum. In the private sector the level of planting depends upon individual decisions of woodland owners.322W The Commission however estimates some 13,000 ha of new planting and 4,000 ha of restocking per annum over the next five years.
