§ Mr. MooreThe West Yorkshire county council has written to me drawing attention to the fuel saving potential of an alternative shorter route for transporting coal from the Selby coalfield to the power station at Drax. Energy saving is, however, only one of a number of factors affecting the routeing of coal from Selby. The Department of Transport has received separate representations from the council and is co-ordinating the Government's response.
