§ Mr. McCrindleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is satisfied with the provision of adequate sites for gipsies by local authorities; if he plans any changes in existing legislation on the matter; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MonroWe are certainly not satisfied about the current level of gipsy caravan site provision and we are now considering the most appropriate ways of giving a greater impetus to the efforts of local authorities, as recommended in the Cripps report, including the possibility of introducing changes in the legislation.
