§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Lord Privy Seal what consultation the Government have now had with commercial organisations about the desirability of ceasing the practice whereby Foreign and Commonwealth Office officials authenticate surnames on documents.
§ Mr. HurdThe review into the authentication of negative certificates of origin is still in progress. The Government are consulting the Association of British Chambers of Commerce and other interested bodies. We shall announce our conclusions as soon as possible.
