asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, further to his reply to the hon. Member for Norfolk, North dated 17 July, if he will now show the additional weekly income, by comparison with last winter, which will accrue to families with dependent children without taking into account the recently announced increase in family income supplement.

My right hon. and learned Friend has not received any request from Equity for a meeting. However, I shall shortly be seeing a deputation led by the hon. Member for Wolverhampton, North-East (Mrs. Short), which will include representatives of Equity and other theatrical interests.
