HC Deb 27 July 1979 vol 971 c593W
Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what is his policy towards the provision of waiting facilities for passengers seeking seats on cheap flights where no advance reservation is permitted; what recent discussions on this subject he has held with airlines and the British Airports Authority; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Tebbit

This is principally a matter for the airport authorities and the airlines. I have not discussed it with them, but different arrangements have been made for the sale of these tickets and I hope that the problems of last year will not recur.
