§ Mr. PrenticeThe latest available information on the take-up of family income supplement—FIS—was referred to in my reply to the hon. Member on 21 May. I regret that it is not possible to calculate the hypothetical additional cost of FIS had there been full take-up in 1975, the year in question, because of lack of detailed information about the financial circumstances of the families who did not apply for FIS although entitled to do so.—[Vol. 967, c.113–4.]
