§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister for the Civil Service whether he will give the actual or estimated annual and total cost of the number of extra civil servants that have been engaged or seconded on to matters connected with the EEC since the United Kingdom joined the Community or for the longest and most conveniently stated period of time.
§ Mr. ChannonMatters connected with the EEC are intimately connected with considerable areas of work of Government Departments, and I regret that it is not practicable to estimate the relevant proportion.
