§ 19. Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what guidelines he has issued to coroners relating to policy in allowing doctors to remove the kidneys of victims of accidents once clinical death has been established.
§ Mr. RaisonA letter which the Home Office sent to coroners on 29 April 1977 expressed the hope that they would refuse their consent only if the organ would be required in evidence in later criminal proceedings, or might have caused or contributed to the death.
