§ Mr. Loveridgeasked the Secretary of State for Industry what steps are being taken to ensure that EEC directives are closely monitored, especially in regard to the small business sector, so that this sector may be adequately represented and join in any discussions at an early stage on such EEC directives that affect small businesses, either in general or in particular trades and details.
§ Mr. David MitchellArrangements already exist under which officials responsible for small firms policy are generally notified at an early stage of proposed EEC directives which affect small businesses and are thus able to ensure, where necessary, that the interests of small firms are taken into account.
