§ Mr. Altonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, further to the reply by the Secretary of State for Energy to the hon. Member for Liverpool, Edge Hill on 27 June, whether loan sanctions will be approved by the Government when costs are greater, if solar energy technologies are incorporated, than if they are not.
§ Mr. KingSuch expenditure falls mainly within the locally determined sector, for which a block borrowing allocation is distributed at the beginning of the financial year. Authorities do not, therefore, require loan sanctions for individual projects in this sector.
