§ Mr. MonroWe remain concerned about the current level of gipsy caravan site provision and the Department will continue to provide advice and guidance to support further efforts by local authorities along the lines recommended in the Cripps report. We are considering the possibility of introducing changes to the existing legislative framework, including provision for Government grants, but the location of sites is a matter for local decision and not for legislation.
