asked the Minister of Transport what public statements he has made on the subject of the proposed Docklands southern relief road; and whether he will place in the Library a copy of any such statement.

Following my meeting with the docklands partnership committee on 25 June a press notice was issued by my Department. A copy is available in the Library.

asked the Minister of Transport what assurances he or his Department has given to the Greater London Council either of support for or otherwise in relation to the proposed Docklands southern relief road; and whether he will place in the Library a copy of any such assurances.

I made my position on the docklands southern relief road clear at the meeting of the dockland partnership committee on 25 June. I refer the right hon. and learned Member to the answer given to the hon. Member for Peckham (Mr. Lamborn) on 24 July with respect to what I have said to the Greater London Council.
