HC Deb 25 July 1979 vol 971 c321W
56. Dr. David Clark

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received urging him to introduce a new countryside Bill: and what were his replies.

Mr. Monro

We have received representations seeking re-introduction of the former Countryside Bill from the chief executive of Somerset county council, the Council for National Parks and the Council for the Protection of Rural England, and from the Ramblers' Association. They have been told that careful attention is being given to these matters in the light of the needs and of the legislative programme.
