asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will introduce legislation to enable those persons buying their homes from local authorities under shared purchase arrangements to acquire subsequently the rented share of the home at the valuation made at the date of the original purchase instead of at the eventual current market valuation.

Mr. Stanley

Provisions concerning the valuation, including sales under shared ownership arrangements, of council houses being sold will be included in the legislation giving tenants the right to buy. No details can yet be given.
