HC Deb 24 July 1979 vol 971 c196W
Mr. Gourlay

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the concern of the local authorities in Fife and other organisations regarding the long awaited decision on the planning application for the petro-chemical project at Moss Morran, he will make a statement on his policy.

Mr. Younger

I am still considering ail the material before me which is relevant to the planning application for this development and I cannot at this stage say when a decision will be made. I am fully aware of the economic significance of the proposals for Fife but I cannot comment on the merits of the development in view of my quasi-judicial role in relation to the applications.
