HC Deb 24 July 1979 vol 971 cc224-5W
Mr. Alton

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment, further to his reply to the hon. Member for Liverpool, Edge Hill, on 13 June, if he is aware that Liverpool has already exercised the maximum possible virement and has still had to curtail spending on council assisted mortgages within block 2 of the housing investment programme; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Stanley

I will consider all representations made when I am making revised allocations. Liverpool's block 2 allocation, together with maximum virement, and tolerance, brings the resources available close to the level of its original bid.
