HL Deb 23 July 1979 vol 401 cc1801-2WA
Lord WINSTANLEY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in the light of the present level of prescription charges, they will re-examine the categories of chronic illnesses which qualify for exemption for these charges.

Lord CULLEN of ASHBOURNE

The list of medical conditions which qualify for automatic exemption from prescription charges was drawn up in agreement with representatives of the medical profession, and there are no present proposals for reviewing it.

House adjourned at a quarter before eleven o'clock.
