§ Dr. VaughanThe latest available information shows that on 30 September 1975, 10,238 civilian doctors born in the Asian subcontinent were active in medicine in Great Britain. These figures are not collected on a United Kingdom basis. The standard required of overseas-qualified doctors who wish to practise medicine in the United Kingdom is entirely a matter for the General Medical Council.
