§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeAs my hon. Friend will know, the Pearson committee on civil liability and compensation for 855W personal injury recommended that the deposit arrangements should be abolished. The Government are considering whether to act on this recommendation or to legislate to increase the level of deposit.
